Robert Dramwi Re-elected Chairperson of Adjumani LC III Leaders

The LC III Chairperson of Ofua Sub-county, Robert Dramwi, has been re-elected to serve a third consecutive term as Chairperson of the Adjumani District LC III Chairpersons, retaining leadership of the forum that brings together the district's 11 LC III chairpersons from two town councils and nine sub-counties.

The election was held at the Adjumani District Local Government headquarters in Aulogo II, where Dramwi secured seven votes to defeat the LC III Chairperson of Pachara Sub-county, Kennedy Kanzo, who received four votes.

The victory extends Dramwi's leadership of the district's LC III chairpersons and adds to his experience as he also serves a fourth term as LC III Chairperson of Ofua Sub-county.

Speaking shortly after the election, Dramwi thanked his fellow LC III chairpersons for renewing their confidence in his leadership and pledged to continue promoting unity and effective representation.

"I sincerely thank my colleagues for once again entrusting me with this responsibility. I pledge to continue serving diligently, promoting unity among LC III Chairpersons, and ensuring that the interests of Adjumani District are effectively represented at regional and national levels," Dramwi said.

In his capacity as Chairperson of the Adjumani District LC III Chairpersons, Dramwi will represent the district in the West Nile Development Association (WENDA) and the Uganda Local Governments Association (ULGA).

He also serves as the Coordinator of the Office of the National Chairman (ONC) of the National Resistance Movement (NRM) in Adjumani District.

Following the election, Richard Akuku AP, a supporter of the Patriotic League of Uganda (PLU), congratulated Dramwi on his victory, describing him as a committed and experienced leader.

"Dramwi is a dedicated NRM cadre who has served in different leadership portfolios with commitment and integrity. I trust that he will continue working diligently to unite leaders and champion development initiatives that benefit the people of Adjumani District," Akuku said.

The newly elected Vice Chairperson of the Adjumani District LC III Chairpersons, Wellborn Kenyi, who is also the LC III Chairperson of Pakele Sub-county, pledged to work closely with Dramwi to advance socio-economic transformation across the district.

"We shall work together to mobilise our communities to embrace hard work, participate in government poverty alleviation programmes, and improve their household incomes. As leaders, our focus will be on ensuring that development reaches every community in Adjumani District," Kenyi said.

The newly elected leadership is expected to coordinate the activities of LC III chairpersons, strengthen collaboration among local governments, and advocate for Adjumani District's interests through regional and national local government platforms.
